Kundapur, Aug 22: Judge of the district and sessions court here, C M Joshi, on Wednesday, August 21, rejected the bail applications moved by four of the accused relating to Kota double murder case. In the said incident, Yatish Anchan and Bharat were murdered on January 26 this year at Manuru near Kota in Udupi district.
Harish Reddy, named as accused No. 3, and Shankar Mogaveera, Ratish M Karkera and Praveen Shetty, named as accused No. 15, 16 and 18, had sought bail in the case. Ratish, Praveen, and Shankar have been arrested under section 212 of the Indian Penal code pertaining to harbouring of the offender.
Public prosecutor, Prakashchandra Shetty, said that the case is yet to be probed in some angles. He noted that after filing the charge sheet, the bail application of the policeman arrested for supporting the accused has been rejected. Main accused are yet to be examined in the court, he said, in support of his argument against granting of bail.
The judge, after hearing arguments from both the sides, rejected the bail applications.
