Mangaluru, Aug 22: In connection with the murder of RTI activist from here, Vinayak Baliga, the state high court (HC), on Wednesday, August 21, granted an interim stay for the hearing in progress at the sixth additional district and sessions court in the city.

The order was passed based on an interim application filed by the sister of the deceased, Anuradha Baliga. A single-judge bench of the high court presided over by Justice Michel Cunha passed the order staying the proceedings for two weeks.
