Kasargod, Aug 21: Catholic Sabha district committee condemned the attacks on Manjeshwar, Our Lady of Mercy church. The decision was taken by the committee in an emergency meeting held at Kumble church premises.

“Some forces are trying to spoil the peace in the vicinity of Manjeshwar. The act is condemnable. Such miscreants should not be protected. No political parties should help them. The guilty should be punished forgetting religion, caste and party. Such incidents should not be allowed to recur,” said Catholic Sabha in the statement.

“Police should arrest the suspects as soon as possible. Violent protests will be held in case of lethargy,” warned Catholic Sabha.

District president Stephan Kumbla, secretary Alwyn Narampady, treasurer Richard Crasta Kasargod, state committee member Wilfred Manohar Bela and others were present.
