Udupi, Aug 21: "Lord Krishna is the one who had the strength to release the whole world from captivity. The Ram Mandir at Ayodhya will also get released from captivity soon. Similarly, let Mathura and Kashi towns, which are the places were Lord Krishna lived get released soon. All the devotees have to pray regarding this with God. Let there be happiness throughout the world forever," said Paryaya Palimaru Sri Vidhyadheeshatheertha Sripada Swamiji giving his blessings on the third day of the Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at the Rajangana auditorium of Sri Krishna Math in the city on Tuesday, August 20.
Swamiji further said, "Lord Krishna responds to everyone's call. Bhaga means one who has six virtues. Let all of us conquer the worldly attractions and get into the attraction of Lord Krishna. Krishna's rules are out of the world. Its strength is enormous. He has come from Dwaraka to here and united all of us. Lord is Purushothama. He is Sarvothama. His ideals apply to all the times. Let all of us get into his ideals."
Speaking on the occasion, Adamar Math Junior Sree Shri Eshapreeya Theertha Sripada said, "Man should not get inflated while someone praises him. Similarly, he should not get bogged down when some ridicules him. One should think that whatever work he or she does is dedicated to the God. We should do work which is pleasing to God. Felicitation of achievers is done to encourage them. Achievers do not work expecting felicitation. They do for the sake of God and do it from the view point that they have to do something for the people. God always dwells in people who worship art. God is omnipresent. All should have this belief. Then only a human being can achieve something."
Tallur Shivarama Shetty, who was felicitated on the occasion said, "God is getting this done from me. I have accepted this as the blessings of God. I have taken this as the fruit for the devotion I have kept on the Lord and the work I have done."
Engineer U K Raghavendra Rao, photographer Astro Mohan, Yakshagana artiste Prema Mahesh and scholar of Karnataka classical music Padmabushan T V Shankaranarayana Chennai were also felicitated on the occasion.
Murali Kadekar welcomed the gathering. The programme was compered by Dr Vijayendra Shenoy.
