Mangaluru, Aug 20: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Cordel unit organized fancy dress competition for all the Cordel parishioners on August 18 at Frad Saib Hall, Kulshekar. The event began with the prayer song lead by the members of ICYM.
Fr Victor Machado, vicar of Cordel Unit, assistant parish priest Fr Lawrence Cuthina, resident priest of Cordel Church Fr Ashwin Cardoza, and vice president and secretary of Parish Pastoral Parishad Loy Noronha and Saturnine Monteiro graced the occasion. Roshan Santhumayour, Cassin Rodrigues and Ignatius Navil Noronha, the three judjes for the programme were present for inaugural programme.
Preema, Floid and Sweedal introduced the judges. Valeny Goveas compered the inaugural programme.
The competitions were conducted in 10 categories around 150 participants participated in the event. The performers took part in the event with great enthusiasm and creative ideas were put forth during the events. The judges and audiences appreciated the creative minds and performances. Judges were felicitated with token of gratitude by Fr Victor Machado, Vicar of Cordel.
Anisha D’Souza, convener of fancy dress competition, read the winners list. Avrel Fernandes, secretary of ICYM Corde, thanked the gathering. Joshwa Dsouza compered the concluding programme.
