Mangaluru: SAC invites applications for PG diploma in Konkani correspondence course

Mangaluru, Aug 19: St Aloysius College (autonomous) has called for applications for the two years post graduate diploma course in Konkani language through correspondence. The institute will start accepting the applications from the month of September 2019.

Minimum eligibility for the course is PUC pass certificate. The syllabus is either in Kannada or Devanagari script. The lessons prescribed for the first year are History of Konkani language, Konkani prose literature, Drama art, Konkani poetry and letter correspondence. Second year syllabus includes Konkani Lok Ved, Sahitik Tika Bhashe Vigyan, Tulanatmak Sahit and Konkani grammar.

The students will have exams at the end of study of every subject. All the lessons in the syllabus are prepared by expert scholars of the Konkani language. However, it is the responsibility of the individual student to make the study of two years of this course more meaningful and informative. The student should visit the Konkani library in the institute often and do reference studies and also get through the correction of the answer papers.

The students who complete the two year study of the course will be awarded post graduate diploma. The fee for the first and second year will be Rs 1,500 for each year. Total course fee is Rs 3,000 for both years. Fee needs to be paid on admission itself. for NRI students the fee is Rs 10,000.
