Earlier, all the buffaloes of the village were called to the Kambala field for tilling. All the villagers used to do the planting of sapling. The youths of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have organized this event with the intention of preserving our culture."

Astrologer Manoj Kattemar, who presided over the function, said, "We are not hearing the songs and voices that we used to hear long ago when the paddy field was being tilled or saplings were planted. Youths have to show love towards agriculture and turn the barren fields into lush green paddy fields."
