Bengaluru, Aug 16: It is learnt that H C Dharmendra, who happens to be the son-in-law of disqualified MLA and former JD(S) state president H Vishwanath, has been transferred to the position of the chief engineer in communications and building in the city south zone.

Superintendent engineer B L Ravindrababu was discharging duty in this post which he held as additional charge. H C Dharmendra was working as superintending engineer in PWD in the past. It is said that this strategic posting has been made at the request of Vishwanath, who was instrumental in the formation of BJP government in the state.

Vishwanath had not only resigned from his post, but also had stayed along with other rebel MLAs in a Mumbai hotel till the trust vote moved by former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, was defeated.
