Udupi: Blood donation camp held at Manipal

Udupi, Aug 16: Huge public blood donation camp was held on account of 73rd Independence Day at Food Court 1 of MIT Manipal on Thursday, August 15. This camp was organized under the joint auspices of Bellampalli unit of Mogaveera Yuva Sanghatane Udupi, Dr G Shankar Family Trust, Udupi, MIT students’ council, MIT Manipal and Rotary Club of MIT Manipal.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Lawrence, convener, Beltangady zone of Blood helpline Karnataka.

153 people donated their blood in the camp. Personnel of ‘Raktha Nidhi’ of KMC hospital coordinated in collecting the blood from the donors.

Team of Blood helpline Karnataka, who are doing an incredible job in the field of blood supply was felicitated on the occasion.
Kumari Divya welcomed the gathering. Ashish Aravind, president of Rotaract Club rendered the vote of thanks.
