Udupi: District administration lend helping hand to flood victims

Udupi, Aug 14: Staff and officials of district administration were seen separating various items piled in DC office premises. Ladies staffs were seen suitably packing items and male staffs were loading them in the trucks without break.

Staffs of various departments are working to receive and send various commodities donated by local groups and citizens for victims of floods in several districts in the state.

More than 1,500 tons of items are already been sent in three loads to homeless people in Madikeri, Bagalkote and Chikkamagaluru districts.

All the items received for the homeless are written in the list and a list of items loaded in Lorries is being sent to the district administration.

The work is being done on directions from DC Hephsiba Rani Korlapati in the supervision of additional DC Vidya Kumari.
