Chikmagalur, Jun 18: The party top brass is not fully satisfied with the performance of the state government during the last one year. The functioning style of some of the ministers has come in for critical comments. The ministers would be given time to mend their ways. An evaluation of their performances will be conducted in course of time, said state president of the BJP D V Sadanand Gowda. He also added, that a report on the achievements and failures of the state government will be submitted to the central leadership of the party in a couple of days.
"There is a need to expand the functional jurisdiction of both the ministries and individual ministers. Steps will be contemplated against those who are not able to set right their working style. In the next 45 days, the working of the ministers will be put under scanner by the party high command," Gowda explained.
Gowda explained that minor differences in the party have been sorted out and a message that everything is hunky dory in the party has been given. Still, a time-bound action plan will be taken to completely quell the internal and external dissidence. Open revolt can never be tolerated, he warned.
"In many districts, in-charge ministers have not been following the practice of visiting their districts at least once a month. It has been noticed, that in the districts represented by me too, this practice has not been followed strictly. We can not tolerate such indiscipline. I am positive, everything will be set right in the coming days," he said.
Gowda said, there have been complaints that ministers are not available at their offices and also in their constituencies. Several ministers have not passed the efficiency bar, he disclosed.
