Mangaluru, Aug 9: Dengue awareness programme and free medical checkup camp was held on August 8 at Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, in association with Dakshina Kannada district administration, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, department of Ayush, Health and family welfare department.
In a formal function held on this account Dr S G Prasanna Aithal, dean, Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital welcomed the gathering.
Medical officer of Government Ayurveda Hospital, Kolluru, Balkunje and in charge medical officer of AYUSH integrated hospital Wenlock, Dr Shobha Rani N S gave an informative speech regarding prevalence and spread of Dengue fever along with its preventive aspect.
Dr Supriya S assistant professor of Swasthavrutha and yoga department spoke about relevance of ayurveda in prevention and treatment of Dengue fever.
Abdul Razak, camp co-ordinator shared the dais.
