Sullia: Man supervising construction of building falls down to death

Sullia, Aug 9: Ali (45), resident of Bellare Pallimajalu in the taluk, lost his life after falling down from an under-construction building at Tadagaje near Bellare on Thursday August 8 afternoon.

Ali had undertaken the work of supervising the construction of this building. At around 2.30 pm on Thursday, he was noting down measurements of the building along with his friend. When taking the measurements of the second floor of the building, he accidentally slipped and fell down. He sustained serious injuries to his head. Those who were near him at the time took him to the government hospital at Puttur but he passed away on the way.

Ali had shifted base to Bellare from Davanagere 22 years back and had started to work initially as mason. He was popularly known with the name, 'Ali Maistry'. He is survived by wife and five daughters.
