Udupi: MLA Raghupathi Bhat visits residence of Ganga who died of wall collapse

Udupi, Aug 9: Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat visited soon after returning from Bengaluru on Thursday, August 8, the place where a cow shed was damaged in Hadibettu, Benagal, Cherkadi panchayat rural limits due to incessant rains. The wall of cow shed had fallen on a woman named Ganga when she was milking the cow in the shed. Ganga had died in the incident.

The MLA asked the officials to provide suitable compensation to the family of the deceased. He announced that an amount of Rs four lac will be given to the family from MP's natural calamity fund tomorrow as first instalment. He said that further payment will be made from chief minister's fund.



He was accompanied by Brahmavar tahsildar Kiran, revenue officer Laxminarayan Bhat, Cherkady panchayat president Harish Shetty Cherkady, BJP rural division secretary Kamalaksha Hebbar, APMC president Sham Prasad Bhat and Dhananjay Ameen.
