Mangaluru: City artists to exhibit artwork at Vibhuti Art Gallery on Aug 9

Mangaluru, Aug 8: Three city based artists, Shilpa Bhat, Umesh V M and Preetham D Suvarna have been selected for displaying their art work in a group show sponsored by Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy.

The show will be inaugrated by Dr Niranjan, secretary of Chitrakala Mandira Kala Vidyalaya, Udupi at 11.30 am on Friday August 9.

The show will be organised for three days from August 9 to 11.

The chief guest will be Raghavendra K Amin, former member of Karnataka Lalit Kala academy.



The artwork displayed will have depictions of cultural and social issues by traditional forms of leather puppets. Paintings which are influenced by historical places, environmental issues like wastage of food and extinction of birds will also be shown.
