Bengaluru, Aug 8: "I do not have any objection if Yediyurappa rules Karnataka for the remaining term of 44 months. But no one knows what decision Narendra Modi and Amit Shah might take," said former Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda.
Speaking at the convention of JD(S) workers organized at the palace ground in the city on Wednesday August 7, he said that the party workers should be in readiness if election is announced anytime now.
"Many leaders and party workers have questioned me on the decision to form coalition government with the Congress. I do not want to blame anyone. I will entirely bear the blame for this mistake," he said. He hailed Kumaraswamy for working to his best in spite of adverse conditions, and implementing programmes for the benefit of all classes of people including farmers.
"I deem my defeat at Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency as the verdict of the Lord. I wish good luck for those who tried their level best for my defeat there. I do not wish to harm anyone," he added.
In the meantime, former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, noted that it has been 13 days since the BJP took over the reins of the state. He pointed out that most parts of the state are reeling under floods, but chief minister, Yediyurappa, is singlehandedly ruling the state. "Many had trolled me during the Lok Sabha election on Whatsapp with the 'Nikhil, Yedlliddiappa' dialogue. Why are they not trolling Yediyurappa now with similar dialogue?" he wanted to know.
