Mangaluru, Aug 8: Two elderly women got injured when four huge trees fell on the same house at Barebail near A J Hospital in the city.

The incident occurred on the early morning of Thursday due to the heavy rain coupled with strong winds. Giriyamma (90) and Devayani (60) are the women who got injured in the incident. They are admitted to a private hospital in the city.

Fortunately, son Ravi and grandson Balakrishna were not in the house when the trees fell on it. Four people reside in the house. But only two were in it when the trees got uprooted and fell on the house.

All the administration and people representatives visited the spot and took necessary measures.
