Puttur: Mescom employee dies after motor bike hits flyover

Puttur, Aug 8: After the motor bike he was riding hit the railway flyover on Nehru Nagar - Bannur Road here on the night of Tuesday, bike rider, Vasanth Gowda (40), lost his life.

Vasanth was a native of Bhandara House in Kodimbady. Currently he resided at Nehru Nagar here. He was an employee of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company.

Vasanth was moving towards Bannur in his bike when his vehicle hit a pedestrian identified as Vinod from Perlamlpady on the flyover before hitting the protective wall of the flyover and falling down. Both were injured in the accident. Both were admitted into a private hospital here.

Vasanth, who had suffered severe head injuries, succumbed. He is survived by parents, wife, and a daughter.
