Karkala: Heavy rain in Kalya gram panchayat limits damages four houses

Karkala, Aug 6: Four houses in Kalya gram panchayat limits here were damaged in heavy downpour on Tuesday, August 6.

The roof of the house of Kalya Kuntadi Ashoknagar resident Sumitra Hegde was partly damaged causing a loss of about Rs 10,000.

The roof of Girija Shettigar was damaged in heavy breeze and rain causing a loss of Rs 15,000.

The house of Chaitra Shettigar was also damaged in the rain causing a loss of Rs 10,000.

Similarly rain was damaged the house of Sundari Safaliga causing a loss of Rs 12,000.

Kalya village accountant Raghupathi R visited the houses and assessed the severity of damages.
