Mangaluru: 'Aunkar Mestry' drama presented at Kalaangan

Mangaluru, Aug 5: The 212th monthly repertory (Moinyali Manchi) programme organized by Mandd Sobhann was held on Sunday, August 4, at the Shaktinagar Kalaangan.

Drama director Denis Monteiro inaugurated the proceedings by ringing the bronze bell. Pramod Pinto Chikkamagalur was felicitated on behalf of the audience on account of World Friendship Day. Eric Ozario, gurkar, Luvi Pinto, president and Kishore Fernandes, secretary were present on the dais.

Asthithva drama troupe presented 'Aunkar Mestry' (unmarried teacher) drama, written by Chafra D'Costa. The caste of the drams included Clanvin Fernandes, Christopher D'Souza, Rohan Adkabare, Ashel D'Silva, Zeena Braggs and Anstin Machado. Music was provided by Lester Menezes. Lights were handled by Jackson D'Cunha.

The Moinyali Manchi programme was started in January 6, 2002. Region wise programmes of Konkani culture and tradition are presented on the first Sunday of every month at 6.30 pm in the Moinyali Manchi programme.
