Chikkaballapur, Aug 3: “Let the former speaker resign from his MLA post, if he has some prestige,” lambasted disqualified MLA Dr K Sudhakar. He was speaking to news reporters in Dibbur village in the taluk.
“I resigned as I was not satisfied with the rule of the coalition government. No development has taken place in my constituency,” he said.
“I have not spoken against Congress so far. But the party has expelled me and disqualified me. Supreme Court has given its verdict. I will go before people and with their blessings will become an MLA again. I will place before people the history of the Congress and the problems in coalition. I will inform them on how we were hurt in the assembly,” he said.
Sudhakar asked Ramesh Kumar to state the reasons for his disqualification. “How did you disqualify me, without investigations? What have I done against Congress party? If Congress party has values, let them first expel Ramesh Kumar,” he said.
Lambasting against former minister and Gauribidanur MLA Shivashanker Reddy, he asked if it was necessary for Shivashanker Reddy to work for JD(S) in MLC elections. “All attempts have been made to put an end to my political career. Expel him first from the party. People are watching you. I had to bear this much pain because of Siddaramaiah,” he said.
