Mangaluru: Construction worker falls down to his doom

Mangaluru, Aug 3: Mahabala Gowda (47), a construction worker skilled in centering work, fell down from an under construction building near Kulshekar dairy on Friday August 2. He lost his life on way to the hospital.

Mahabala Gowda was a resident of Arikepadavu in Mooduperara. On Friday afternoon, he was engaged in centering work on the second floor of the building. He lost his balance and fell down to the first floor. The fellow workers immediately took him to a private hospital but the doctors who examined him declared him brought dead.

The deceased is survived by wife and two sons. The town station personnel from Kankanady here reached the spot, conducted scrutiny, and registered a case.

Gowda was working as coolie and mason since the last many years. He was working for the under construction building at Kulshekhar since the last about two months. His death has robbed his family of its sole breadwinner. Sridevi Yuvaka Sangha at Mooduperara is planning to come to the help of the devastated family.
