Mangaluru, Jul 26: BJP workers in city celebrated as soon as B S Yeddyurappa was sworn in as the chief minister (CM) of Karnataka on Friday, July 26.
Yeddyurappa took oath as the chief minister in the name of God. The ceremony lasted for 6 minutes.
BJP workers in city distributed sweets to the members of the public. Many leaders from BJP as well as Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal also took part in the celebrations.

Celebrations were held in Udupi also.
Yeddyurappa, who had earlier on Friday staked his claim, three days after the H D Kumaraswamy-led JD-S-Congress government fell, was administered the oath by Governor Vajubhai Vala at the Raj Bhavan in a ceremony boycotted by the Opposition.
No other minister was sworn-in with him.
It is for the fourth time he came the chief minister of the state.
