Mangaluru: Man, absconding with multiple cases against him, arrested

Mangaluru, Jul 24: The personnel of anti-rowdy control force, led by assistant police commissioner of Mangaluru South sub-division successfully arrested Sahu Hamid alias Sahul alias Ammy (33), who was accused in a case that was registered in Konaje police station and was absconding.

The arrested Sahul is the son of B H Usman, a resident of Badriya Nagar, Mallur in the taluk. He is accused in the murder case under Bantwal rural police station limits, a case of POCSO violation in Konaje police station, cases of assault in Mangaluru rural and south police stations, and a case of theft registered in K R Nagar police station of Mysuru.

Sahul had obtained a bail in the POCSO case that was slapped on him in the Konaje police station. However, he went underground and did not report to the honourable court. The accused is arrested and handed over to Konaje police station.

This operation was carried out by the personnel of anti-rowdy force of Mangaluru South under the orders of T Kodandaram, assistant commissioner of police of Mangaluru south division, with the guidance of Hanumantharaya, DCP, law and order, and Laxmi Ganesh, DCP, crime and traffic, on the direction of Sandeep Patil, police commissioner of the city.
