Bengaluru, Jul 22: Senior BJP leader Aravind Limbavali has blamed his own party members and claimed they are behind the ‘doctored’ sex tape doing rounds. 

Limbavali, who is one of the main contenders for the post of state BJP president, had told media on July 19, that the person seen in the objectionable video was not him. 

On Monday, Limbavali who spoke to reporters, alleged conspiracy. “I will reveal things when time comes. A couple of BJP leaders have joined hands with JD(S) and Congress. Together, they are pitting against me, as I have been working hard,” he said. 

Limbavali, who has earlier served as the Karnataka higher education minister, is currently the MLA from Mahadevapura constituency in Bengaluru. 

The MLA’s personal assistant Girish Bharadwaj had filed a complaint in HAL police station on July 19. In his complaint, Bharadwaj had written that the scandalous video was uploaded by a person named S R Srinivas Gubbi on social media. 

Also, he alleged that the person in the video was impersonating to be the MLA. A case was registered under various sections of the Information Technology Act.
