Udupi, Jul 22: A grand felicitation, ‘Ratnotsava’, for Bhuvanendra Kediyur on his 75th birthday, was organized at Shyamili auditorium Ambalpady here on Sunday, July 21.
This grand function was organized by Sri Bhuvanendra Kediyur Felicitation Committee.
Bhuvanendra Kediyur, managing director of Hotel Kediyur here, was presented with a statue of Lord Sri Krishna (made of red sandalwood), draped in shawl, garlanded and the traditional Peta was placed on his head in his honour and to celebrate his achievements . He was escorted to the stage with the accompaniment of colourful tableux, Chande with dance and trumpet along with guests.

Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar math said after the inauguration of the programme that one should not forget God and motherland ever. "Let’s love god, body (soul) and the motherland. Everyone must be adopt these ideals in one's life," he exhorted.
"Bhuvenendra Kediyur served both Madhava (Lord Krishna) and the general public abundantly. As such, they both love him very much. Devotion happens to be his core strength and reason for his success. Because of these lofty ideals, now Bhuvanendra is leading a life fulfillment an contentment. He worships divine in every task undertaken by him," he added.
"One should stick on to the Lord, who is at the centre of everything, like the central point of a grinding stone which remains always at the centre. When we repose faith in God, he protects us always. One cannot achieve anything on his own without the God’s grace. May God grant good health and wealth to Bhuvanendra, and many more years of life to serve the society. Human beings should always make it a point to share excess money with the poor and the needy," he elaborated.
Sri Vidyavallabha Teertha Swamiji of Kaniyur Math, in his benedictory address said, "we have got everything we have from the society. So, we must be contribute something to the society in return. God will also feel happy about such initiatives. It is our duty to serve the people. Bhuvanendra is a man who pursues generosity, is religiously inclined and has been meeting his social commitments."
Fr Valerian Mendonca, parish priest of Mother of Sorrows church here, referring to Bhuvanendra said, ‘he himself is a huge gift of God. He helped a lot of people and extended financial assistance. May God grant long –healthy life to him. May his fulfilled life inspire others," he wished.
After accepting the honour, Bhuvanendra Kediyur expressed his heartfelt thankfulness by commenting that he is very grateful to all the concerned and also the organizers and committee members. He said he did whatever he could for the betterment of the poor and the society in general.
His wife, Heera, said, ‘I happen to be like the thread used to weave a beautiful garland that is used as offering too the Lord. "I will be with him and keep supporting him in all his work," she added.
MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, Satish Pai, managing director, Manipal media network, Sandhya Pai, editor-in-chief , Tharanga weekly, Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor MAHE, Anand C Kundar, president, Geethanand Trust , Jaya C Kotian, M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva's Education Foundation, Kabyadi Jayaram Acharya, and others were present.
