Bengaluru, Jul 21: Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda (DVS) said that the horse-trading in the state will not stop even if the President's rule is imposed. “The formation of BJP government is the solution to all the problems the state is facing at the moment,” he opined.
Speaking to the reporters in the city, DVS said, "BJP has to form government in the state. For solving drought and issues faced by the farmers, the BJP has to assume power again. If the CM is not willing to go for the trust vote, BJP has many ways. We will fight constitutionally. We will give attention towards the Governor and Supreme Court,"
"So far the development in the state was stalled in the name of Lok Sabha elections. If the development stops for another three months, it is not possible to lift up Karnataka again. Interim Assembly election is not good for the state," added Sadananda Gowda.
Minister Gowda further said, "Coalition government does not have the majority. Their numbers have gone below 100. We have the support of 107 MLAs excepting the rebel MLAs. When the whole country knows this, not respecting the democracy in this manner is shameful,"
"The whole country knows what Congress and JD(S) are trying hard to retain power. I am confident that the Supreme Court will reject any appeal that is put by the coalition government. BJP has conducted itself in a judicial manner and according to the constitution," added the minister.
"There are many unhappy MLAs in Congress and JD(S). They have ill-feelings towards the behaviour of their leaders. We have conducted ourselves peacefully and respectfully inside the Assembly honouring the orders of Speaker, Governor and Supreme Court,” Gowda concluded.
