Dubai, Jul 20: Manjunath Naidu, a well-known expatriate comedian, died while performing on stage here on Friday night due to cardiac arrest, reported Khaleej Times.
He was 36.
As per details available, Naidu was the last to perform in a two-hour comedy show. While he was performing his standup act, he complained of high level of anxiety, sat down on the bench near him and collapsed onto the floor. It is reported that the audience thought it was part of the act and laughed.
But later the audience realised that it was not an act as Naidu was seen gasping for breath.
Naidu was rushed to a hospital. Doctors tried their best but could not save him.
Naidu was very popular for his comedy acts. He performed in Dubai for that past 5 years.
He was a regular performer at The Courtyard Playhouse.
Naidu's last rites will take place in Dubai.
