Mangaluru, Jul 20: The train services between Bengaluru-Mangaluru are suspended on July 21 and 22, after incessant rains caused landslips, covering the railway track near Sirivagilu.
The South Western Railway (SWR) has cancelled day train services on Sunday and Monday, while the night trains have been diverted and will run via Salem and Palakkad.
A press release from SWR states that due to incessant rainfall on the Sakleshpur-Subramanya Road Ghat section, loose soil and rocks are blocking the tracks.
Also, a huge boulder which poses danger for the train services needs to be blasted. Currently, the railway staff have begun the work to clear the soil and rocks on the track.
