Puttur, Jul 19: In a shocking incident, a husband killed his wife for not cooking food properly. This bizarre incident is reported from Kallapadav under the limits of Puttur rural police station. The incident took place at around 7.30 pm on Thursday, July 18.
Akshata (22), was seriously injured as her husband stabbed her for not cooking dinner properly. After being stabbed by the husband, Akshata managed to reach the neighbouring house of her mother-in-law. Akshata's mother was also present there. Accused Ganesh followed his wife Akshata even to his mother's place, to stab her again, but was prevented from doing so by the inmates of the house. Then Ganesh escaped from the spot.

When Akshata was questioned by the people present at the house of her mother-in-law, the reason for stabbing, she said that her husband, Ganesh got furious for not cooking food properly. Akshata, who received deep wounds on her neck and face, collapsed in a while after narrating the incident to her family members. Though she was shifted to Puttur government hospital in an auto rickshaw by Akshata's mom and Balakrishna, nephew of accused Ganesh, the doctors declared her brought dead when they reached the hospital.
A case was registered in this connection at Puttur rural police station as per the complaint given by Kamala, mother of the deceased. Accused Ganesh was arrested by the police.
