L & T..who is buffalo soldiers...?? For god sake please don't tarnish image of OUR forefathers who much depended on cattles in earlier days. All homes around DK having cow dung in there wall and are safe much without harm of any mosquitoes. Now eventhough even terraced villa..by four in evening wants to close all windows as precaution. Those are the days where in people are viewed wealthiest by looking only there cattle shed..how much they own.

These Bulls, Cows, Buffalo's, stealing and trafficking, have become a routine, daily schedule !!!!! Only a handful are apprehended.... Politicians will arrive, coerce the authorities, who will in turn grant them bail !!!! Karnataka is a severe drought stricken state, administration has collapsed, Netas are busy fire fighting and horse trading, just to remain in power...... the state has lost its will power to rule and has lost all credibility ! There is no point reporting such crimes.....

I could not find what was actually illegal in this case.

Merely an act of transporting buffaloes is not illegal, in my opinion.

What is illegal here unless these buffaloes are stolen? Only slaughter of cows is not allowed but not buffaloes right? Why arrest then?

Only Indian within India are not allowed to consume beef even though it's buffalo meat. Buffalo meat is meant for exports only mostly exported by non Muslims.
Funda is, if buffalo meat is consumed locally, what's left for exports ?????

After incident like mob lynching cattle traffickers are taking help of people from other communities by offering them hefty fees. These poor people do not know exact intention of cattle traffickers and fall into the trap. As festival is near such cattle thefts is going to raise in coming days. No where it is mentioned cattle is required to offer as qurbani as earlier days no cattles in middle east region. They use to drink milk of goat sheep and camel to keep population rising.
