Udupi: 19-year-old from Channapatna drowns at Malpe beach

Udupi, Jul 13: A youth, who had been to Malpe beach for a swim, drowned on Saturady, July 13.

The deceased has been identified as Channapattana resident Deepak (19).

Deepak was one among a group of 13 youths who had come on an excursion to Madikeri and Udupi.

The youths had gone to the sea ignoring the warnings of police and lifeguard staff. “It was difficult to find the body as the sea was rough,” said personnel from Malpe police station.

    I feel sad that this young man got drowned at Malpe beach. He is to be blamed for his death that in spite of warnings by the police and life guards, he and his friends ventured in the rough sea. Let him RIP. This is a warning for all others.

    People are dump enough to swim in the unseasonable time or occasion. make adventure while there is a safety precautions not to dare the nature !! In nethravathi river there are current waves and everyone knew about it but still people jump to death ! ADVENTURE !!
