Belagavi, Jul 13: "There is no need for us to do reverse operation. The government will survive, even if our MLAs come back to our party," said minister Satish Jarkiholi.
Satish was speaking to the reporters in the city on Saturday. He further said, "Already four of the resigned MLAs are in Bengaluru. If two MLAs, who are in Mumbai come back to Congress the government will survive. All are putting in efforts of saving the government."
"Coalition government might have committed some mistakes also. That is being rectified now. BJP is doing the job of bringing down the government again and again. Amit Shah is trying to bring BJP back into power in Karnataka. We have resigned to our minister positions. Even if other are made ministers, we are ready to continue," added Satish Jarkiholi.
Satish further said, "Rs 10 lac expenses will be incurred to bring one MLA from Mumbai. BJP is looking after all the expenses of the resigned MLAs, including hotel booking. The speaker will not take any action on the disgruntled MLAs now. They still have time."
"Ramesh Jarkiholi will never come again to Congress, even if he is made PM or CM. But the coalition government will not fall. The confusion in the coalition government started from Belagavi itself. I will not contest the bye election from Gokak. Already Lakhan Jarkiholi is organizing the party there. Ramesh Jarkiholi has given up the party," added the minister.
Satish further clarified, "Siddaramaiah and the chief minister are like the two eyes of the coalition government. From Belagavi except Ramesh and Mahesh, no other MLAs will resign. Ramesh Jarkiholi has still not got what he has lost. For us party is important than personal relationship."
"In the bye-election of Gokak fight between the brothers is for sure. We will fight from Gokak. Even if Ramesh's wife or brother-in-law contests from Gokak, Lakan will contest on Congress ticket. It is true that Ramesh Jarkiholi resigned for the sake of his three brother-in-laws," concluded Satish Jarkiholi.
