Bantwal: Vittal gang rape - Victim gives birth to baby boy, one more accused arrested

Bantwal, Jul 13: Vittal police arrested one more person with regards to the sexual assault of a minor girl by various men. He was produced in the court.

Punit alias Purushotama (21), a resident of Vittalmudnoor is the arrested accused. The girl said that Purushotama used to have physical relation with her, when she was going to school, when no one was around in the house. He was absconding after the incident came to light.

Meanwhile, the victim girl, who was sexually assaulted by five men on different occasions, gave birth to a baby boy in the government hospital of Mangaluru on the night of Thursday. Both the mother and child are said to be in healthy condition.

    The actual father should be ascertained by DNA test and he should take care of the girl and baby till the child is 21 years of age. hold his property as colletrol. the rest of the accused should be given prison and a hefty fine.

    Other than the biological father, it would be difficult to implicate other accused, without medical evidence, as this activity has been going on for a long period of time!!

    If the rape accused is Muslim, the BJP student wing ABVP would be on street asking for the death sentence. Now accused identity is established neither RSS Mahila Morcha is the picture nor VHP.

    This case is a classic example that RSS-BJP wants 'Hindu Rashtra' without the guarantee of women security.

    1. Now the girl's entire life is ruined, will anyone among the 'Moral police' will come forward and marry the girl with her child?
    2. This girl is raped initially in her school days, why the village Panchyath or BJP is not asking for the implementation amended 'Pocso law' to the rape accused?

    Everybody knows RSS, VHP, BJP are hypocrites...none of their men will want to marry a gang -raped girl with a child born from one of the rapists... Her life is doomed for no fault of hers.

    Prem Moodbidri,there is no need to hang rapist now .But punishment is must.He should pay for the child till 18 years or more.when hung then who will care or pay punishment?It is a pity ,now noone may marry her with a child,not even rapist.and when someone marrys too he might remember each time he sees a child from other.so coflict is preprogrammed.
