In the food chain when the supply and production gap widens then this type of incident become more that also leads to an increase in commodity prices.
In the past farmers are willing to sell their unproductive livestock without the fear. Since this 'Gau Raksha' took over the business to support the exports the demand has increased who are unable to buy expensive goat meat.
    These thefts can't be stopped unless wise thinking in the right direction is established. Here below are some suggestions;
    1. Increase the goat farming to meet the domestic demand so the price of goat becomes lesser than the beef.
    2. Put sealing on exports. First, meet the demand for domestic use. This, in turn, will decrease India's malnutritional problems.
    3. Open more legal livestock market like Haryana government were Bajrang Dal members now selling beef in open market.
    4. Increase the protection for livestock transport by the law enforcement authority.
    5. Auction the unproductive livestock 'Gau Shalas', so that same money can be utilized for the welfare of the widows of the farmers.

The cow is an emotional subject. It has nothing to do with religious scripture. The problem lies in the control of the business which was earlier largely done Muslims and Dalits of India.

There is no provision as per Islamic scholars for the consumption of meat through theft. But in many cases, the buyer is unaware of the source. At the same theft should be condemnable in all means.

Sad and distressing to observe young energetic men stealing !!! These guys are accustomed to fast and easy living..... Demand for beef n cow meat, spikes upwards, especially, during festivals..... This encourages them to make a killing !!!! They will not even hesitate, to take up any criminal activities.... In Dakshin Kannada, there is an acute shortage of manpower.... any workmen can get wages beyond Rs 800/- per day... if they seek, certainly they will find employment.... These episodes, brings a very negative and stereotype image, to the entire community !!!!

These culprits will never have respect for family or religion ,These useless people will be in all the community .But we Hindu & Muslims should not give chance to take advantage for our politicians.
We can see how the MLA in our state miss using the power and playing with peoples sentiments .
only change will happen for us if we forget our religion and just believe in humanity And get united .
it as been habits for politician only they use peoples support for just to cast the votes.we have to really get serious into this matter , otherwise our generation life will be miserable.

Sayed sir, first we need to set our house in order and do not give opportunity to MLA and others to pin point our grave mistakes. Stealing cow from poor family continuously from 10 years is a serious issue, which some of us have taken it lightly.

MLA or other cannot change this salutation, only we can change the situation our youngsters need to be educated morally and make them understand what is sin and what is good. Live and let others Live.

If MLA / MP says vote for us we will stop stealing cows from poor family then we all will vote for them but still some youngsters continue stealing the cows even during election time.

Hi Imtiaz, I appreciate your comments and understand your pain. Yes a few people like these can spoil the image of the whole community. Having said this what initiative community has taken to curb this menace. It is been going on since 10 years and since then it is only increasing day by day.

Many poor Hindu families take bank loan and earn their livelihood through small dairy farming. But these thugs enter the cow shed, even threaten elderly women some times and steal the cows. Please note that stolen cows are not killed or resold immediately, it is kept somewhere for some days, hence, elders, relatives & neighbors of the thief exactly know the cows or the meat belongs to stolen cow but none of them raised the alarm till today but enjoy the meat and revenue stolen from poor families and happily take care of their family needs.

Dear Rajesh, you are wrong about by knowing people are buying, Muslims Never eat Haram meat, If we suspect any trader who sell cow meat is a thief by any chance then we stop buying from them because it is prohibited in Islam. but they still continued their business as it is just a suspicion. but we have boycotted many local traders. they are finding it tough to sell it. Many has left the business because of no sale.

There was a time in UDUPI Hotels who is supplying cow meat food, Most of our Hindu brothers were customers as we Muslims can cook it at home. Now our Hindu brothers are asking us privately to supply them meat or cooked food. it is happening everywhere. Like recently ABVP guys raped a girl in private but out in the open they speak about Women Safety.

Nice to know that your community have already boycotted the shops who sells stolen meat. Keep it up.

Do not bring rape issue here, this can be discussed in other platform, discussing other issues here will help only to brush main subject under the carpet.
