Bengaluru: Govt crisis - Governor instructs chief secretary of state not to take important decisions

Bengaluru, Jul 12: Governor Vajubhai Vala has instructed T M Vijaybhaskar, chief secretary of the state not to take any important decisions as the state government has fallen short of majority due to the resignation of 16 MLAs.

MLA of Vijayanagar Anand Singh had written a letter to the governor on July 10 asking him to give directions to the state government not to take any decisions on the issue of land denotification and sale to Jindal group. The governor has sent the instructions to the chief secretary based on the letter sent by Anand Singh.

However, it is learnt that the governor has not put any constraint on the chief secretary to take decisions on daily activities and minor decisions.
