Kundapur: Farm worker slips and falls into 20-feet deep gorge, dies

Kundapur, Jul 11: In a tragic incident that occurred at Gangemane of Hakladi village of the taluk, a person, who had gone to work in the farm, slipped and fell into a gorge and lost his life.

The unfortunate victim of this incident is identified as Yogendra (32), son of Mahalinga Mogaveera, a resident of Gangemane.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yogendra had gone for farm work in the afternoon of Wednesday after having lunch. However, as he did not return till night, concerned family members went in search for him. But their search did not yield any result as they could not find Yogendra anywhere. The incessant rain also added to their woes. On the morning of Thursday, Yogendra's body was found below the piece of wooden log that was stuck in the gorge that is 20-feet below the cement pathway. 

Yogendra got married just two months ago and is survived by his wife and parents. 

A case in this regard stands registered at Gangolli police station.
