Puttur, May 28: Vanamali Bhat K from Kodimbady in the taluk has secured first rank in the All India-level Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), meant for admission into reputed post-graduate engineering degree colleges.

Vanamali, who had got his B Tech degree from NITK Suratkal, has got admission into the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore for pursuing his M E degree course.
