Puttur, Jul 10: A large number of students from all over the country had appeared for Scouts and Guides Rashtrapati Puraskar examination and has been waiting for their result. Satwik Sharma B S, a second PU student of Vivekananda PU College here, has complained to the Prime Minister (PM), drawing his attention to the fact that the result of the said examination has not been published even after two years.
The said examination was held in 2017. Satwik had complained to the PM in December last year through the PG Portal. He had got the response that his complaint had been forwarded to the sports ministry for necessary action. The sports ministry said that the complaint had been referred to Bharat Scouts and Guides.
Father of the student, Rajesh Krishnaprasad, had sought to know the status of the result through RTI query. Once he was told that the result was ready, while on another instance, he was informed that the process was going on.
Satwik Sharma therefore wrote to the PM again on June 7. Rajesh Krishnaprasad said that when the Scouts and Guides headquarters was contacted they informed that the result is pending in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Satwik was a SSLC student of Vivekananda Kannada Medium School when he appeared for the said examination. Students appearing for this examination need to take long leave as they have to work hard to study various subjects and undertake 14 projects. The examination is conducted for a week at Bengaluru. Many students appear for this examination as they get quota for admission under engineering, medical and some other courses. Krishnaprasad points out that delaying the result will result in the efforts of the students going waste.
