Mangaluru, Jul 10: Police inspector of Suratkal station, Ramakrishna, stands suspended for dereliction of duty.

The city police commissioner issued order suspending him from service on Tuesday, July 9.

The reasons attributed to his suspension are failure to take stringent action against ganja trafficking, overlooking the menace of cattle thieves and refusal to accept complaint from the people about cheating by a financial institution and dereliction of duty.

    I welcome this decision of the Police Commissioner. The police department is earning a very bad name all over the country for their preferential treatment towards some influential people. Corruption, of course, has penetrated deep into the system and it will need many drastic steps to weed out such people from the department. Anyway, it is a good beginning.

    The Appearance of this guy goes along parallel with the charges framed against him. He looks like a Crook & not a custodian of Law. Easy money must have made him to misuse his Position.

    Shetty BASS ! Whatever it is ! there are ways to question his suspension ! but as they THERE IS NO SMOKE WITHOUT THE FIRE ! However its good thing that still some actions are there to punish the culprits including so called ADMINISTRATION !
