Madikeri, Jul 6: A husband has approached the police, seeking their help to get his wife back, as his in-laws are not allowing his wife to live with him and forcing him to convert to the religion of his wife, if he wants to live with his wife. This bizarre incident is reported from Kushalnagar of Kodagu district.
Siddalingaswamy and Shifa Hani married after having fallen in love with each other. However, now the parents of Shifa have objected to their marriage and are not allowing Shifa to join Siddalingaswamy. In addition, they have asked Siddalingaswamy to convert to Islam, if he wants to live with Shifa.
Siddalingaswamy and Shifa Hani got married with mutual consent after having a relationship for seven years. However, the parents of Shifa, who took her home during Ramzan, did not send her back to Siddalingaswamy. Now they are forcing him to get converted, if he wants to live with Shifa.
Siddalingaswamy, a resident of Tirumalapur of Piriyapatna of Mysuru district was working as an auto driver at Kushalnagar of Kodagu district. He fell in love with Shifa Hani of Halaganahalli and got married to him on January 19 at Male Mahadeshwara Hills and led a family life together for five months. However, Shifa's parents took her home for Ramzan fasting and did not send her back after Eid.
On the other end, Shifa, who is desperate without Siddalingaswamy, has sent a video in which she is drinking a disinfectant liquid saying that she cannot live without Siddalingaswamy.
Now Siddalingaswamy has approached Byluguppe police and registered a complaint that he needs his wife. Police are investigating further.
