Bengaluru: Eleven MLAs resigned, next action on Tuesday - Speaker Ramesh Kumar

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jul 6: Speaker of the Legislative assembly, Ramesh Kumar confirmed that 11 MLAs submitted their resignation letter to him. As Sunday is a holiday and he is on leave on Monday, the next course of action will be taken on Tuesday, July 9.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, July 6 on the issue of resignation of MLAs of coalition government, Ramesh said, "My secretary has informed me that 11 MLAs have tendered their resignation in my office. Office will be closed on Sunday. I will not attend office due to personal reasons on Monday. So I will check the resignations on Tuesday.

"I had completed my personal work and was in Vidhana Soudha in a meeting. But none of the MLAs called me or sought appointment from me through letter. If the MLAs wish to meet me in their mind, how will I come to know? If they had called me beforehand, I would have made myself available at Vidhana Soudha," said speaker Ramesh Kumar.

Ramesh Kumar further said, "Eleven MLAs have resigned. I have asked my personal secretary to give all of them the acknowledgement of the same and also tell them that the next course of action will be taken on Tuesday since I am not in the office. The MLAs are not sent back just because I am not in the office. I will take all necessary steps as per law.

"Let the MLAs go to Raj Bhavan or Rashtra Bhavan. That is none of my concern. You ask me about speaker Ramesh Kumar, I will answer your questions. My duty is limited to the extent that is mentioned in the Constitution. I do not have any knowledge of other things. I am not in any party. So I do not know about the resignation of MLAs," said Ramesh Kumar.

Giving further update, Ramesh Kumar said, "If the MLAs hand over resignation letter in the office, it cannot be received. The MLAs have to hand over their resignation in person to me. We give the acknowledgement letter that we have received the resignation letter. The MLAs have not sought an appointment. If they ask for appointment, I will not deny. I do not know who are going to come today."

Former president of JD (S) H Vishwanath, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Somshekhar, Pratap Gowda Patil, Gopalaiah, B C Patil, Mahesh Kumatalli, Narayana Gowda, Bhairati Basavaraj, Shivaram Hebbar and Ramalinga Reddy have already handed over their resignation in the office of the speaker.

EVM machine results are trustworthy if it is cross checked/matched with VVPT results. But in our country there is no transferency, hence questions being asked frequently on this issue. I am not in favour of another election in karnataka. Wasting taxpayers money. Best solution, let all party come together and form the government.

I doubt BJP will stake claim to form Government and also central leadership may not want rise of Yeddy. We may be staring at mid-term polls. Following are pressing problems.
    1. Farmer distress
    2. Unemployed Youth
    3. Slowing economy
    4. Infrastructure

Let BJP form the Govt and complete the tenure. Coalition was just formed to save Rahul Gandhi from embarrassment as Karnataka was the only major state congress had, except Punjab. Now that Congress have 3 more states and Rahul has resigned, its time that BJP feels the heat in Karnataka.

Even those people have 'little' political knowledge, would say this has nothing to do with BJP.
    Reasons:-

    1. The list of MLAs in BJPs target are different from those who have resigned(except 2-3).
    2. Very Senior leaders from both Cong-JDS have resigned.
    3. Even BJP people were not foreseeing, such BIG & MASS resignations, they were hoping for some, but
    not at this scale.
    4. And the timing, CM in USA & KPCC Pres. outside country is Perfect.
    5. Even JDS party never anticipated these resignations for their own party.

So, conclusion is simple, COALITION POLITICS, WERE DIGGING GRAVE(s) FOR THEIR OWN PARTIES.

The last ditch game plan, of Congress and JDS, to hold on to power, has turned into utter disaster.... BJP in the driver seat, is sending shivers, down the spine of corrupt netas.... IMA scam, will certainly be brought to a logical conclusion, exposing the cosy nexus, between Mansoor Khan and Congress/JDS leadership.... Moreover there will also be a crack down, on antinational forces, active in Karnataka State !!!!!

We don't trust BALLOT SYSTEM. Ballots can be manipulated, see what used to happen in U.P., Bihar for long time. EVM is OK. Still those who have doubts please see VVPATs.

We are losing faith on EC and co. Armed forces can be used to man our EVMs during elections and upto results without any political and babus interference.

    Yasir,
EVM along with VVPAT is better only if they declare the results only after verifying all VVPAT count with digital count. When 22 parties requested for 50% VVPAT SLIP count, why their request was not accepted. There is something fishy...no doubt.!

All Developed Countries including USA & Europe have scrapped EVM's because all Electronic Chips are programmable & easily be Manipulated.
Now you know only why Cheaters are opting for EVM ...
