Mangaluru, Jul 5: Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math exuded confidence that the union government will take a firm decision on construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya after the BJP secures majority in Rajya Sabha.
He was addressing a press meet after 'Tulabhara' service was offered to him by way of coins at the residence of Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Parishat president, S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, at Kadri on Thursday July 4. He expressed the confidence that Ram Mandir will materialise soon.
The Swamiji informed that Pejawar Math has been building a well-equipped hospital at Marathhalli Bengaluru on a two-acre plot. "The project cost is Rs 35 crore. We have already conducted works there and ten crore rupees would be required more to complete the project," he informed.
He also said that a hostel for students from backward classes would be built in the site provided by the urban development authority at Shivamogga. "We also plan to build a students’ hostel for backward classes at Udupi. Our Math has been managing a PU College at Hubballi and we plan to set up a school in a ten-acre plot in which classes from primary to high school will be operated," he explained.
The Swamiji said that Pejawar Math had built Anandateertha school at Pajaka near Udupi three years back where construction is continuing even now. He said that a hostel meant to provide free of cost facility to students interested in pursuing religious education is also being built there.
He explained that he will continue with the programme of meeting families of neglected sections of the society as his earlier such visits have given rise to transformation in the society in eradicating untouchability. "If such people invite me, I am ready to visit their houses," he added.
The Swamiji said that the current Srikrishna Kalyana Mantap at Kadri Mallikatta would be demolished and a new one would be constructed at a cost of five crore rupees in its place. For this project, foundation stone would be laid at 9 am on July 11, he stated.
