Kundapur, Jun 27: “The Kisan Samman scheme should be implemented more effectively in the taluk. Uploading details of only five thousand farmer’s families out of 25 thousand is not satisfactory. The remaining farmers should be registered within stipulated time and all the eligible farmers should be able to benefit from it. Find solution for server problem and work as farmer friendly,” said MP Raghavendra.

He was speaking in the meeting of officials held in Byndoor tourist bungalow on June 25.

“There are complaints that IRB works that are in progress in Byndoor are unscientific and inadequate. Contractors and officials should discuss and take action about it immediately. There is anxiety among people that preparations are in progress to collect toll without completing service road in Shirur. Stringent action will be taken against the contractor if toll is collected without completing the work,” he said.

“Varahi project is in Byndoor but water was so far available to Udupi and Kundapur. Water will be made available in Byndoor also through Varahi right bank project. Approval for Saukoor irrigation project is obtained in the budget,” he said.

“Byndoor health center needs to be upgraded. It will be converted as Taluk hospital. Vacant government land should be identified in every gram panchayat level in Byndoor taluk. Applications pending in 94C should be disposed of soon. There should be crematoriums in all the villages. Inform tahsildar if there are no crematoriums,” he said.

“Provide facilities of the departments of agriculture and horticulture to the beneficiaries. Make drip irrigation facilities reach farmers. Finalize tourist bungalow work costing Rs 9.8 crore in Kolloor only after the MLA brings the blue print to my notice,” he said to the PWD officials.

“He took officials to task for not having issued RTC even after issuing title deeds under 94C in Kolloor and asked what actually the deterrent for issuing RTC is. Solve the problem and issue RTC for those who are not deemed. Let us start more Mararji schools in the taluk. Identify suitable places,” he said.

To the urge that gram panchayat should be informed about the place where IRB officials are constructing bus stand, he asked IRB official to inform respective gram panchayats. “Let us make Byndoor a developing taluk. It will be possible when officials work sincerely,” he said.

MLA B M Sukumar Shetty, Vidhan Sabha opposition leader’s private secretary Rajappa, tahsildar Basappa Poojary and DySP Dinesh Kumar were present.
