Udupi: Native of West Bengal arrested for trying to sell ganja

Udupi, Jun 26: Acting upon definite information, police inspector of district CEN crime cell, Seetharam arrested Prakhar Srivastava (24), a native of West Bengal, who was trying to sell ganja near a residential complex at Vidyaratna Nagar of Manipal near here.

The police have confiscated 5.28 kg ganja worth Rs 1.3 lac in the market, a mobile phone worth Rs 5,000 and a weighing scale worth Rs 1,250.

Police inspector of CEN crime cell Seetharam, ASI Keshav Gowda, personeel Sathish Belle, Raghavendra Uppooru, Krishna Prasad, Sanjay, Nagesh, Sridhar, Raghavendra Brahmavar, Prasanna Salian, Santhosh Kharvi, Praveen and Jeevan took part in the operation.
