Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (EP)

Udupi, Jun 26: ‘Karavali Nataka Sangeeta Nirdeshakara Okkoota’ (union of drama music directors), an organization under the leadership of Sharath Uchil was formed here on June 23 in order to bring music directors of dramas in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kundapur and Kasargod together.

Music directors from other districts who gathered on time were extended a cordial welcome. Discussions on the need for union of music directors and other matters were discussed. Annual picnics, future of members, health insurance, performing a drama enacted by music directors once a year and other plans were discussed.

A committee was formed for systematically running the union. Office bearers were elected unanimously.

Popular music director Shivagiri Kalladka, president; Karthik Kadekar, vice president; Madhu Bangera Kalladka, secretary; Sreyas Kalladka, joint secretary; Sudhaker Moodbidri, treasurer; Sharath Uchil, organizing secretary; Guru Bayar, Srinath Moodbidri, Vishwanath Nelyadi, Shubhaker Belapu and Nagarjun Mangalpadi were elected directors. Sharath Uchil thanked all the members who were present for the meeting.
