Sullia, Jun 25: Personnel of the fire brigade rushed to the rescue of a dog that had somehow scaled the third floor of a building and got stranded there, having been unable to go down by the route it had taken to come up. The incident happened on Sunday June 23 afternoon.

A dog had scaled a building in Kurunji Bagh here on Sunday afternoon. It somehow reached the third floor but found itself in a tricky situation as it realized that it was impossible to get down by the same route. The students living in this building and members of the public tried to help the dog out but they could, as the dog, which turned panicky at the sight of so many people, tried to run away. In doing so, it lost its balance and got stuck in the wall of the second floor of the said building.

At last, the fire brigade was informed. The firemen jumped into the task, conducted an operation, and brought the dog down with the help of a rope. The dog was confined to the third floor of the said building for nearly four hours.
