Mangaluru, Jun 21: Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) observed International Yoga Day here at Father Muller indoor stadium on Friday, June 21.
Addressing the gathering, former corporator Naveen D’Souza said, "Yoga is an integral part of Indian culture and we have recently started celebrating International Yoga Day. However, practicing Yoga is not just limited for today. Yoga should become a part of our daily routine.”
FMCI director Fr Richard Coelho said, “Research has proved that Yoga keeps a person fit. Yoga means concentration that brings serenity and keeps our soul vibrant.”
Yoga instructor Dr Havyashree demonstrated yoga to the students.
Dr Sanjeev Fernandes compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks. Father Muller College of Nursing principal Sr Jacintha welcomed the gathering.
Administrator Fr Rudolph and Fr Ajith Menezes were present.
