Udupi: Huge tree falls in hospital compound – Two injured, 4 cars damaged

Manipal, June 21: Two were injured after a huge tree fell inside the premises of KMC Hospital in Manipal on Friday, June 21.

The tree, outside the Emergency Unit of the hospital, fell on two people who were coming out from the hospital. They were immediately admitted to the hospital.

Four cars parked in the premises were also damaged.

The localities and the police are getting the tree removed with a JCB.

    me and my friends used to ride bicycles near this tree area around 28 years back.....

    This was a miraculous escape for who were around that place. Thank God only two were injured and some cars were damaged. If not anything worst could have happened under this prevailing condition of the weather with heavy rains and gusting winds.

    It is advisable to cut the branches of trees like this near the buildings, houses etc ahead of rainy season to avoid any loss of life, damage to the property etc
