Udupi, Jun 21: Leader of opposition of the state legislative council Kota Srinivas Poojary opined, "The present coalition government is not in a position to carry out the administration at all. The statement of Deve Gowda on mid-trem poll proves this fact. Even former president of JD(S) H Vishwanath has expressed difference of opinion with the Congress."
"State government has become a dead body. They do not want to tackle the issues faced by the farmers. They do not want to handle the flood or drought situation. In order to hide these deficiencies, they have planned village stay," added Srinivas Poojary.
Kota Srinivas further accused, "Not a single minister of the state cabinet visits the Vidhana Soudha. None of the ministers visit the district centres. This government is not going to last long. This government is formed just to keep B S Yeddyurappa away from power. This is proved by the statement given by former PM Deve Gowda."
"BJP is observing all this development seriously. The central BJP and Yeddyurappa will take suitable decision. The MLAs are elected for a period of five years. Now only one year is completed in the present term. Elections are not required for another four years. The MLAs are not in the frame of mind to face elections. But do not know what the mentality of Deve Gowda is. The people of Karnataka are also waiting for the present coalition government to collapse," said Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Ridiculing the proposed village stay of CM Kumaraswamy, Kota Srinivas said, "The CM has gone directly from Five-star hotel to village. Poor people will not get their work done through this government. BJP is observing everything and will fight in a suitable manner.''
Responding to the query on IMA scam and its link with the present government, Kota Srinivas Poojary said, "Minorities have completely lost faith in the coalition government of Congress and JD(S). The people do not believe that this government is for the minorities. The ministers of the present government are involved in the IMA scam. The victims of IMA have met former CM Yeddyurappa and said that only Yeddyurappa can give them justice."
